Wellness should not be a privilege.
Cost, transportation, geography, incarceration, recovery status, health circumstances, and other systemic barriers can determine who has access to wellness resources—and who does not.
Wellness Without Barriers was created to help close that gap.
Through direct community services, education, workforce development, community partnerships, and acts of service, we work to make whole-person wellness more accessible to individuals and communities who have historically had limited access to the holistic wellness industry.
WELLNESS WITHOUT BARRIERS
An Initiative of Find the Grace Within
Bridging the gap between holistic wellness and community care.
Holistic wellness has the power to support the whole person—but access to these resources is not equal.
Wellness Without Barriers works to change that.
We bring holistic and complementary wellness services, education, and resources directly into communities while building partnerships between wellness professionals and the organizations already serving people where they are.
ACCESS. EDUCATION. CONNECTION.
Everything we do is grounded in three interconnected pillars.
-
Community Wellness & Recovery Support
Bring the services to the people.
We bring holistic and complementary wellness directly into communities and the organizations serving them—reducing the financial, geographic, transportation, institutional, and other barriers that can make traditional wellness services difficult to access.
-
Training & Workforce Development
Equip the people who serve the people.
We provide education and training for community-based professionals while helping wellness practitioners develop the knowledge and skills needed to serve diverse populations safely, ethically, and effectively.
-
Partnerships & Systems Integration
Build the relationships that make access sustainable.
We connect community organizations, agencies, and systems with qualified wellness professionals and work collaboratively to create sustainable pathways to whole-person wellness.
Who We Serve
-
Individuals at all stages of recovery, including those receiving behavioral health or recovery support services and those building long-term wellness in recovery.
-
Individuals, families, and communities who have historically experienced financial, social, geographic, or systemic barriers to wellness resources.
-
Individuals who are incarcerated, justice-involved, reentering their communities, or participating in juvenile justice, residential, and community-based programs.
-
People whose financial circumstances, mobility, transportation, or other barriers may limit access to traditional wellness services.
-
Individuals experiencing cancer, chronic illness, serious health challenges, grief, caregiving, or major life transitions.
-
People experiencing homelessness, transitional housing, or other circumstances that create barriers to traditional wellness resources.
-
Including rural and other communities where holistic and complementary wellness resources may simply not be readily available.
We don't define people by their circumstances. It's about removing the barriers between people and the resources that can support their well-being.
Our Approach
Meet People Where They Are. Support the Whole Person.
Our work is low-barrier, trauma-aware, recovery-informed, whole-person, community-centered, collaborative, and service-driven.
We listen first.
Rather than assuming that one model of wellness works for everyone, services are adapted to the population, environment, accessibility needs, and goals of the community or organization being served.
We recognize holistic and complementary wellness as part of a larger network of support. Our work is intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical, mental health, behavioral health, recovery, and social services.
And we believe service matters.
Not every community need comes with funding. Alongside contracts and funded partnerships, Wellness Without Barriers is committed to volunteer efforts, community service, sponsored opportunities, and creative partnerships that help wellness reach people who may otherwise go without it.
BRINGING WELLNESS INTO THE COMMUNITY
Wellness Without Barriers brings holistic and complementary wellness directly into the spaces where people already live, gather, receive support, and build community.
Services can be offered individually, in groups, as ongoing programming, or through customized community wellness experiences designed around the needs of each organization and population.
Yoga & Accessible Movement
Chair, adaptive, gentle, restorative, and traditional yoga practices designed to make mindful movement accessible to a wide range of bodies, abilities, and settings.
Mindfulness, Meditation & Breathwork
Practical, accessible practices that support relaxation, grounding, self-awareness, stress management, and emotional regulation.
Sound Healing
Individual and group sound healing experiences using instruments, sound, and vibration to encourage relaxation, mindfulness, and whole-person well-being.
Reiki & Energy Wellness
Complementary energy-based wellness experiences offered individually or in group settings and adapted to the needs and comfort of the population being served.
Recovery-Focused Wellness
Holistic wellness experiences designed to complement recovery support and provide individuals with additional tools for self-care, connection, stress management, and long-term well-being.
Community Wellness Experiences
Workshops, wellness days, group experiences, and customized programming that may combine multiple wellness practices based on the needs of a particular community or organization.
As Wellness Without Barriers grows, so will our network of qualified providers and the range of holistic and complementary wellness services we can bring into the community.
Education & Workforce Development
Expanding access to wellness also means equipping the people who are already serving within our communities.
We provide education and training for peer recovery specialists, community health workers, nonprofit and community-based staff, wellness practitioners, and other helping professionals.
Training may include mindfulness and stress-regulation tools, holistic approaches to recovery support, trauma-aware wellness, self-care and burnout prevention, professional boundaries, accessibility, and the responsible use of complementary wellness practices in community settings.
We also work to prepare holistic wellness practitioners to serve within recovery, behavioral health, nonprofit, justice-involved, and other community environments.
Partnerships & Custom Community Initiatives
Every community is different, and not every need fits into a predetermined program.
We work with nonprofits, recovery and behavioral health organizations, government agencies, community programs, healthcare-support organizations, and other partners to develop wellness services and initiatives around the needs of the people they serve.
Partnerships may include contracted services, recurring wellness programming, community wellness events, pilot programs, staff wellness initiatives, collaborative projects, and customized programming.
Community Service & Access Initiatives
Not every community need comes with funding.
Community service is an important part of Wellness Without Barriers. Alongside paid contracts and partnerships, we seek opportunities to provide volunteer services, sponsored wellness experiences, reduced-cost opportunities, and other service-based efforts that expand access to holistic wellness.
Whether through service, education, or partnership, our goal remains the same: bring wellness into communities, equip the people serving them, and build connections that make access sustainable.

COMING SOON! Free Recovery Yoga monthly
We are proud to announce our first wellness based community partner as WHYOGA in Milford, DE. Beverly Geffon, WHYOGA’s owner has graciously sponsored a free recovery yoga class once per month by allowing Lacey to teach a class in the studio free of charge for the recovery community.
24 hrs-45+ years of recovery; all are welcome. Finalized dates and times for the monthly class are TBD and released ASAP.
Lacey’s service contribution
This initiative is built on service. That’s why Lacey has committed to bringing a free wellness group into a rehab, recovery home, or other community center once per month, and free recovery yoga once per month for people in recovery (24 hrs-45+ years of recovery; all are welcome) at WHYOGA in Milford, DE.
Our next goal is to secure enough wellness-based contracts so that sliding scale individual sessions can become readily available to the entire community (including her already established private practice).
The “why” behind Wellness Without Barriers
A letter from our founder
Wellness Without Barriers was born at the intersection of two communities that have profoundly shaped my life: the recovery community and the holistic wellness community.
My connection to recovery is both personal and professional. My own journey in recovery has shaped so much of who I am, and I also spent several years working within the recovery field, including recovery housing and harm reduction. Later, my path led me deeply into the holistic wellness community here in Delaware. Through that work, I have had the opportunity to experience firsthand the impact that practices like yoga, meditation, sound healing, Reiki, mindfulness, and other whole-person approaches can have on our overall well-being.
And over time, I kept coming back to the same question:
Why are these two worlds so separate?
I dream of a day when alternative and holistic wellness resources are available in every recovery setting and every underserved community throughout the state of Delaware—not as a luxury, but as another accessible layer of support for the whole person.
I have spent years building relationships within both of these communities, and I believe there is an incredible opportunity to create a bridge between them. There are talented wellness practitioners with meaningful tools to share, and there are communities full of people who may never have the opportunity to walk into a yoga studio, attend a sound healing session, experience Reiki, learn meditation, or discover the wellness practices that resonate with them.
I want Wellness Without Barriers to help close that gap.
This initiative is starting small. Right now, it begins with me, the relationships I have built, the services I can provide, and a genuine willingness to serve. As part of that commitment, I am intentionally dedicating a portion of this initiative to volunteer and community service efforts—showing up where there is a need, even when there isn't necessarily funding attached to it.
But my vision is much bigger than what I can do alone.
I hope to see Wellness Without Barriers grow into a network of passionate, qualified practitioners who share this commitment to service—bringing together yoga teachers, sound healers, Reiki practitioners, holistic professionals, educators, and others who want to use their skills to reach beyond traditional wellness spaces.
My greatest hope is to see the recovery, community-care, and holistic wellness worlds come together in a meaningful way—meeting people where they are and making whole-person wellness accessible to communities that have too often been left out of it.
This is where we're starting. I can't wait to see where service takes us.
